Aurora Mission Trip

A team of missionaries sponsored by the Lunenburg Charge (Farmville District) engaged in a four day home construction project in Aurora NC. The original home was destroyed by Hurricane Irene in August, 2011. The 16 – person ecumenical team included nine members of Antioch and Williams UMC’s; seven others represented six congregations from four denominations. Charge members contributed nearly $1,000 in support of the project. This is the first multi-day, out-of-area mission of the Lunenburg Charge. The Aurora project is an initiative of UMCOR’s disaster response program.
